It’s important for certain products to remain upright during the shipping process. One example of this type of product is windscreen wipers. Another is liquids or chemicals that can spill or become agitated if tilted or fragile products that are packaged in such a way that a tilt would result in breakage. If you’re shipping any of the above, you might consider using tilt sensors to monitor whether or not the products were handled correctly. This is especially important if there is a health and safety risk associated with mishandling, such as when transporting chemicals.

In such cases, there may be no obvious indication that the product has been mishandled without the use of a mishandling indicator. If you’re a business that is sending the products to clients or customers, it can also give them peace of mind that their goods were handled correctly and give off the right impression.
